Skip Gates and the O-Drama

Responses

  1. Greetings!
First let me state that I stumbled across you on Youtube when I was looking for commentary on Black Hair. I just want to share with you that I feel that you both are wondeful and are living the phrase “be the change you want to be.” I am so glad to see black men who “tell it like it is” and keep it plain and simple…much of the world does not want to hear truth. I applaud you in your efforts in all that you do.
On to my commentary of your video on the Gates drama…

When I heard the story of what happened to Mr. Gates, I was disgusted that yet another black man was treated unfairly, but admittedly…I was uncertain of exactly who Mr. Gates was and how has he contributed to the cause of blacks in diaspora and what was his role in our history?

After doing some research, I discovered, much to my disappointment that mr. Gates appears to be an Uncle Tom….who in their right mind would break down their percentage of whiteness in their body?

Anywho……I am a natural hair-wearing mother of 4, who only in the last 10 years of my life begun the journey of self reflection and recognizing that blacks here in America are in dispora.

I am glad to have found your site. Keep up the loving work that you do for us!
