I have seen every one of your videos, and would say that you raise extremely valid points most of the time – however, today I was disgusted and shocked to hear the most ignorant statement that ‘Make it Plain’ has put out there. Genocide of Afrikan peoples is definitely an issue to be discussed, and there are so many ways that we are victims of racism and genocide at the hands of white people. I would probably say that along with Aboriginals, Afrikans are the most victimized peoples here in the West. That being said, how dare you include homosexuality in your list of genocide that Afrikans are victim to? I do agree that measures intending to prevent births within our group have been imposed, and it is despicable that so many young black women have been sterilized (with or without their knowledge), in an attempt to rid the West of Afrikan people. But please explain to me how homosexuality falls into the same category as sterilization? You say that ‘homosexuality is one of the worst parts of genocide’ and that ‘you can make because if you can get the man in the community to believe that he’s a woman, then that structure in the community crumbles’. For ‘educated’ black men, these comments are astonishingly ignorant. Furthermore, you fit the stereotype that all black men are homophobic. On what grounds did you come to the conclusion that homosexuality is a form of genocide? You are revolutionaries fighting for the rights of us, the oppressed Afrikan people, yet fail to see that Afrikans are not the only ones who suffer oppression, discrimination and genocide. Homosexuality is not a state of mind imposed on Afrikans by white people. It is a sexual preference that is shared by people of all races, creeds, religions and backgrounds. For all of the books you read, perhaps pick up one about homosexuality, because you are very misinformed. First of all, gay men do not believe that they are women. They are sexually attracted to men. Transgendered men are the ones that feel that they are women stuck in men’s bodies, and being transgender has nothing to do with being homosexual – so get your facts right. Second of all, homosexuality has absolutely no effect on the structure of our community crumbling – how can a man’s sexual preference affect an entire community? There are many gay white and Asian men, yet their communities don’t seem to be crumbling. Lastly, Samori had mentioned that homosexuality prevents the births of Afrikans. Perhaps homosexuals are not able to procreate, but they do seek alternative methods to do so; some being invitro fertilization and adoption. Now tell me, how is adopting a child without parents or a family seen as preventing the births of Afrikans? It is providing a home, a family and love for a child without. You both really need to think about what you say before uttering such untrue statements and feeding your listeners such hate and homophobia. Homosexuals are subject to a so much hate and discrimination, especially from within the Afrikan community. I am not equating the gay struggle to that of the Afrikan in any way, all I am saying is this; for scholars who are so focused on shedding light to and ending the struggle of a people that have been the subject of such injustices, how can you turn around and subject such ignorance and injustice on another oppressed group?

The ignorance and paranoia is appalling. Denying the existence of congenital medical anomalies as some “Imperialist plot”. Or doing the same for homosexuality. What’s next, denying the existence of sickle-cell anaemia, or saying that this genetic disease, one that mostly affects people whose ancestors came from malarial regions (ie mainly Blacks) is all some plot hatched by Whitey and the Joos?
Given the infamous Tuskagee Experiment, I can understand fears like this. But please, educate yourself first. Or you’ll live down to every racial stereotype promulgated by the even more ignorant and paranoid White Supremacists.
